Abstract There is a critical need to enhance the efficiency of transport of H2 to refueling stations from H2 production facilities. The goal of this new Hydrogen Carrier research effort is to investigate pathways that can lead to the optimization of hydrogen carriers to realize the most efficient, safe and economical approaches to (i) transport H2 from a production facility to the city gate and (ii) facilitate geographically agnostic H2 storage
