The Hydrogen Materials—Advanced Research Consortium (HyMARC), composed of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, National Institute of Standards and Technology, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory has been formed with the objective of addressing the scientific gaps blocking the advancement of solid-state hydrogen storage materials.

HyMARC assembles deep national laboratory expertise in hydrogen science, large-scale computational modeling, and state-of-the-art characterization tools to accelerate discovery of solid-state materials for on-board vehicular hydrogen storage.
